BIO DJ DOC FUNK (CANADA)

Doc Funk is a quickly rising star on the Montreal seen; however, he's no newcomer to the industry. He's twenty-nine years old, and has been spinning for nearly half his life, since 1992. His love affair with music, on the other hand, started from birth. Specializing in House and Electro, he has been inspired by the talents of Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Bad Boy Bill, and DJ Dan. He has aspirations of obtaining residency in various clubs in the Montreal area as well as gaining the opportunity to travel the world to share his unique style, both goals to which he is well on his way. In his own words, all he has ever wanted to do is "play music and rock the house." He is also a skilled produce, both remixing classics, adding his own flare to well loved favourites and creating new ones reflecting his own unique style of house, electro, and drum & bass.

Before moving to Montreal, he was active in the New Brunswick scene, where he got his start. He also played in various other cities across the Maritimes. Since his relocation, he is quickly being recognized as one of the best new talents onto the scene, recently appearing at more than one Mad Luv event at Living Nightclub, as well as at Montreal Sapphire. He can also be heard every Monday night at 8 o'clock EST on his own radio show, The Doctor's in Da House! on the award-winning electronic radio station, Techno.FM
